COMPUTER GRAPHICS SOFTWARE; NUMBER CRUNCHING. Expert Associates, Inc. also has computing expertise in computer graphics, graphics software, number crunching, Fortran, C, and Pascal. Here are some examples of Expert Associates' projects: applied thin-shell theory and Helmholz integral equation to design underwater sound radiators; computed energy levels, transition probabilities of maser materials (NASA); analyzed the shock response of projectiles to improve their reliability; analyzed the scattering of piezoelectric waves from cracks; developed integral equation approach to design surface acoustic wave devices; developed piezoelectric finite element codes in 1, 2, or 3D; extensively modeled piezoelectric transducers for sonar systems; modeled interaction of shock waves with underwater structures; analyzed response of electromechanical vibrators to non-linear loads, computed the scattering of electromagnetic waves from random plasma sheaths; modeled millimeter-wave integrated circuits on anisotropic substrates; developed a model-system to acquire and invert eddy-current data and reconstruct flaws; developed a model of eddy-current probes with ferrite cores; developed an eddy-current system for 3D quantitative non-destructive evaluation, and are presently marketing it; developing a system to characterize eddy-current probes for non-destructive evaluation.
NONDESTRUCTIVE EVALUATION (EDDY CURRENTS). Expert and his colleagues are expert in eddy-current (electromagnetic) nondestructive evaluation. They have conducted much research in this area, especially with respect to developing algorithms and computer codes. They have developed a code called VIC-30 (C) that is now being marketed for application in eddy-current nondestructive evaluation. They have published a number of papers on this subject.
