EMS is a highly fluid and ever-changing profession subject to frequent changes in technology. Expert has been involved in the development of new and exciting changes in techniques for the provision of patient care. Expert was instrumental in the addition of Hypothermia in cardiac arrest patients. In conjunction with a U.S. medical college, Expert wrote and presented the protocol to allow providers to actively cool post cardiac arrest patients increasing the survival rate by 50%. Expert was actively involved in the protocol for care of stroke patients in a U.S. area as well.
Expert has been an educator in the field of EMS for the last 15 years, most recently functioning as the Training Captain for a U.S. county. He is currently a Advanced Life Support Coordinator and has designed training and preception programs for multiple counties. Expert is also the American Heart Association Coordinator for a U.S. hospital, instructing medical professionals in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Expert has been involved in grant research and writing for the a Volunteer Rescue Squad. He has been consulting in equipment purchasing as well as restructure of the department.
