Years: 2011 to Present | Employer: Undisclosed | Title: Chemical Process Consultant- Surface Finishing | Department: |
Responsibilities:Technical Consultant to the Electroplating and Surface Finishing Industries offering chemical process improvement and troubleshooting skills in a highly varied application environment. Specialize in Phosphate and Titanium Anodize process chemistry and have developed proprietary chemistries in both fields.Developed mathematical control models for Hard Coat, Chromic, and Titanium Anodizing and offer training in the use of this technology to achieve high precision reproducible results. Offer expertise in Risk Assessment/Recovery planning covering all facets of industrial operations including utility management, environmental impacts, and human and plant resource allocation. Provide a comprehensive Energy Audit Service for which I have written a very powerful process energy modeling program that is used to provide precise current and scenario-based results. |

Years: 2011 to 2016 | Employer: Poly-Metal Finishing Inc. | Title: Laboratory Manager-Electroplating and Surface Finishing | Department: |
Responsibilities:Management and control of a NADCAP-approved Analytical Laboratory.Responsible for all processes and chemistry as well as guidance and supervision of the laboratory and chemical process personnel. The company is an Anodize, Hardcoat, Prime, and Paint facility serving the defense industry. All components processed had to meet flight safety criteria as well as the specification-driven requirements. Managed and controlled the Waste Water Treatment facility as well as all Hazardous Waste functions at Poly-Metal. Developed a new proprietary Teflon-Hardcoat process for Poly-Metal that was much more effective and stable than the chemistry in use. |

Years: 1998 to 2011 | Employer: Westfield Electroplating Company | Title: Laboratory Manager-Electroplating and Surface Finishing | Department: |
Responsibilities:Management and control of a NADCAP-approved Analytical Laboratory. Responsible for all processes and chemistry at Westfield as well as guidance and supervision of the laboratory and chemical process personnel. Developed mathematical models that allow precise control of many complex chemical processes including the “Alrok” conversion coating, “Titanium Anodize” Type II, Electroless Nickel, Manganese Phosphate, and an unusually high thermal conductivity Hard Chromium plating process. These models have allowed complete control of these processes and in the case of the Alrok coating have put Westfield in the position of being the only company capable of operating the process. The models are now at the forefront of plating technology in that they allow adaptation to rapidly changing process conditions and predict control parameters with absolute accuracy. Supervise the Operation of a Grade 3 Waste Water plant and hold a Grade 5 Certification. |
