Chloride corrosion is the most common and worrisome form of corrosion. In particular, chloride stress corrosion cracking of the 300 series steels is the most common mode of failure he has investigated in his failure analysis background.
Expert started working in a copper smelter when he was 19 years old while studying to be a metallurgical engineer. He has worked on numerous copper projects throughout his career, both in smelting, electro-refining, and hydrometallurgy.
He has a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering and nearly forty years of experience in the technologies involving metal chemistry and processing.

Expert has built techno-economic models on a consulting basis for several chemical processes. His interest began with 35 hours of courses taken in Finances and has continued as he watched nine of the companies he worked for go out of business. None of these companies had a good techno-economic model, or even a fundamental understanding, of how their process generated profits (or not). Expert is a very good programmer with VBA and Excel and have developed his own subroutines to facilitate development of economic models based on a mixture of empirical data and theory adapted to the process under study.

Erosion corrosion is a mixture of corrosion and physical erosion normally caused by a second phase in the primary carrier fluid. He has seen this in copper pipes, HVAC equipment, process pumps, and variety of other chemical equipment.
Expert has a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering and nearly forty years of experience in the technologies involving metal chemistry and processing.
Industrial wastewater treatment requires the same skill sets used in hydrometallurgy and process engineering. He has designed plants for Fluor Daniel Engineering for plants in Peru and Indonesia. He has been a Technical Director for a company making industrial wastewater chemicals and provide WWTP consulting.
