He has written a book on on digital rights management (DRM) as well as several book chapters, whitepapers, articles, etc. and related technologies such as watermarking, content recognition, anti-piracy technologies, etc. He has consulted to many of the vendors in the market as well as to media companies on copyright management issues. He has appeared as an expert witness in several litigations related to digital copyright technologies, and he has advised public policy and regulatory bodies on three continents about digital copyright issues.

Expert has served as an expert witness in several copyright, patent, and other litigations related to digital media, digital copyright, and related matters. He has acted behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in federal litigations. He has testified in federal court and before the Copyright Royalty Board, and has authored dozens of expert reports. He has also acted in patent matters such as IPR and ex parte reexamination.
