Major acquisitions included a $180 million acquisition of a Finnish nickel refinery, a $1.1 billion acquisition of the precious metal chemical division of Degussa in Germany, and the acquisition of a $35 million chemical manufacturing division of Rhodia based in the UK.In his role as Treasurer at a publicly traded international manufacturer, he completed over $5 billion in financing transactions including a $1.8 billion debt syndication, a $400 million high yield bond offering, and a $235 million secondary equity offering.As a member of Ernst & Young's Corporate Finance Practice, Expert advised numerous clients in restructurings and strategic transactions. Significant clients included; Koenig Sporting Goods, the senior lenders of Sharon Specialty Steel, Carlisle Retailers, Figgie International, the tort committee of Dow Corning, OM Group, Blair Corporation, and the unsecured creditors committee of Boston Distributors.
