1.0 SOFTWARE
Expert is experienced in developing special software packages for PC-based control systems. Microsoft .NET, C# or Visual Basic™ is a preferred software platform. Typical operating systems Expert use include Microsoft Windows XP,7,10. Expert structure software to implement modular design, fully utilizing all capabilities of object-oriented languages, including design of class modules, implementation of inheritance and polymorphism, design and utilization of ActiveX,OCX components.
A few examples of the types of special software packages that Expert have designed in the past include:
• Complete machine control software for micro-stamping application, consisting of interface with SQL server, database information analysis, machine elements alignment via PC-based stepper controller, HMI (Human Machine Interface) design.
• Vision-driven, three-axis servo system, positioning for limp-part orientation and handling
• Implementation of sorting algorithms for direct machine control of packaging equipment
• Design of customer electronics part-configuration software to communicate with high precision four-axis robots
• Implementation of data acquisition software to acquire data from industrial measurement and control devices utilizing OPC servers
• Customization of SCADA software packages using built-in Microsoft VBA (Visual Basic for Application) and scripting languages
2.0 MOTION CONTROL EXPERIENCE
Expert has implemented many different types of motion control devices, including closed-loop control servo system with special PID tuning and adaptive tuning, stepper systems in both open and closed-loop configurations, vector and variable frequency AC drives. Expert has worked with stand-alone, multi-axis controllers, networked controllers, commercially-available PC-based motion cards. Typical motion control applications have included:
• Multi-axis positioning
• Electronic gearing
• Position cam and axis synchronization
• Linear and circular interpolation
3.0 VISION SYSTEMS EXPERIENCE
Expert has the experience with many commercially-available vision systems, including Imaging Technology, Cognex, RSVI Aquity, DVD. Typical vision system applications which I have implemented in the past include:
• Vision-guided motion positioning
• Vision part inspection and feature search
• Vision gauging and dimensional inspection
• OCR and OCV (Optical Character Recognition/Verification)
4.0 INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION
Expert has over 28 years of experience in the implementation of control systems for industrial automation and machinery. This experience includes:
• Use and implementation of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), including IEC 61131-11 standard programming languages
• Standard implementation of different types of device and sensor fieldbus networks, operator interfaces, and industrial identification systems
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA-79, OSHA and other electrical codes and their implementation on industrial machinery
