Expert Details
Computer Graphics, Computer Animation, Virtual Environments, Image Rendering
ID: 722015
Virginia, USA
Expert's work on physically-based motion control was one of the first in computer graphics that used physical principles to determine the motion of objects. His work in articulated figure animation using learning approaches and motion capture has appeared in a number of refereed journals and conference proceedings.
Expert has completed a number of research projects related to interactive/real-time computer graphics. He has worked on virtual reality/virtual environment (VR/VE) rendering and interactive and navigation paradigms in VR/VE. He has an extensive background in developing basic technology for solving real-world problems in real-time graphics.
He has worked on a number of problems related with global illumination models for both visual realism as well as accurate simulations of infrared wavelengths.
His research on sound rendering and timbre trees is considered pioneering work in the area of sound synthesis and synchronization.
He has developed a number of simulation systems for training. These include medical simulators for surgical procedures as well as procedures in allied-health.
In general, Expert has an extensive background in theoretical 3-D computer graphics as well as applications in the real-world.
