Expert, a UK-Canadian dual citizen, has more than 40 years of experience in private sector development, productivity improvement, market development, business support services, regulatory and environmental issues, privatization, due diligence for acquisitions and restructuring, feasibility studies, market studies and Global Environmental Facility (GEF) projects. He has worldwide experience in ceramics, clay/concrete brick, clay/concrete roof tile, porcelain/ceramic floor and wall tile, glass products, porcelain and bone china tableware, refractory, granite, marble, mineral sands (zircon, ilmenite), kaolin, bauxite, cement, ceramic proppants, silica frac sands, high-temperature insulation, bio-ceramics, quartz counter-tops, solid surface counter-tops, porcelain enamels for glass and metal coatings, silver paste for automobile glass, kitchen glass backsplashes, specialty calcined alumina, silica flour, alkali earth silicate wool, brick colorants, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), ceramic glazes, frits, pigments and colors, digital printing of glass and ceramics, hydrophobic and anti-microbial coatings for glass and ceramics and other mineral-based industries in Europe, Africa, Asia (including China), North and South America, Caribbean, Australasia and Middle East.

Expert holds a BS in Ceramics from the North Staffordshire Polytechnic, UK. He has personal experience in investing as the lead investor in a clay brick, roof tile, and ceramics company in West Africa and knows first-hand the many challenges of investing in emerging economies. He has carried out consultancy projects for many of the international agencies, development banks, development corporations, venture capital companies, private equity firms and private companies worldwide. In recent years, he has also carried out consultancy work in a number of high added-value agro-industries in the African, Caribbean and Pacific regions.
