Expert served as a geologist at Koch Exploration Canada (KEC), a holder of oil sand assets in Alberta where he managed various projects including the Gemini SAGD project where he was the lead geologist, and the Mckay in the Athabasca, Cold Lake, and Peace River oil sands regions.
