As a hematologist, Expert has a vested interest and experiential expertise in the underlying causes of pathological blood clotting. He especially focuses on blood elements such as platelets and white blood cells, and vascular endothelial cells.

For several years, Expert was involved with research and the clinical use of fluorocarbons as blood substitutes, and studied the efficacy and toxicity of several fluorocarbon emulsions. He also is familiar with hemoglobin-based blood substitutes.

Expert has examined oxygen radical mediated endothelial injury for several years. Most recently, he has been interested in using iron as a catalyst for this injury, and in the mechanisms of cellular protection against it. He has published several papers on oxygen radicals, iron, and antioxidants.

For over 19 years, Expert has grown endothelial cells in culture, and has studied extensively their biology as it

Expert's expertise also includes bone marrow transplants. He has been involved in this area for 19 years, and has experience related to both allogenic and autologous bone marrow transplants.

Expert is knowledgeable of viruses as etiologic agents in the development of atherosclerosis. He is also familiar with the oxidation of LDL cholesterol, and is especially well-versed in antioxidant agents which prevent atherosclerosis.

Expert has expertise in sickle cell anemia ani it's vascular disease.
