Expert has an extensive experience in reconstruction of automobile accidents. His reports are used during trials and he often is called to testify as an expert
witness.
A portable system capable to acquire and store the impact generated shockwaves while walking, running, skiing, horse riding was developed by expert’s Biomechanics Laboratory and was used to compare various footwear, playing and running surfaces, identify lameness in horses.
Expert developed a system capable to acquire comprehensive data related to gait analysis. The system consists of force plate to acquire the foot-ground reaction forces and moments, optical system capable to record the movement and extract the coordinates of various points on the musculoskeletal system and accelerometry system to measure the gait induce shock waves at number of locations along the skeleton.
Expert developed and implemented optical methods for deformation measurements in micro and opto-electronic packages subjected to thermo mechanical loads. This information was used to improve the design and reduce the residual stresses in the product. Similar approach was used to verify some patent infringement claims.
He has experience with consulting in number of areas. The recent projects include study of the deformation of microelectronics packages under mechanical and thermal loads and development of the optical distortion measurement system for flat glass and windshields.
He consulted for the case of the baby death due to the effects of shaking. The data and tests performed helped to prosecute thus case. Expert worked on the case of a person who claimed to have slipped on grease at a factory floor and, as the result of this, he claimed to have struck the back of the head and to sustain the injuries. He studied the forces needed to produce acute trauma and prepared biomechanics report and assessment of the incident. Expert consulted and provided expert deposition in the case of a person who sustained a posterior fracture dislocation of the left hip after he was involved in a motor vehicle collision.
