She found through her sociological ethnographic research that first-year attendee’s had many unresolved issues emerged: developing a style of doctoring, acquiring an authoritative role, and dealing with professional uncertainty, malpractice, balancing work and family life. She believes that by understanding the first-year attendee’s socialization process can help medical educators expand their body of knowledge and improve patient care. As of late, she works with medical start up companies to provide them with her unique view in how technology and healthcare is a necessary next step.
Expert spent the last three years working in start up environments in an exective position providing leadership in managing the ground work in forming a medical company. She provides the knowledge to maintain the humanity in healthcare. Her body of knowledge expends across multiple areas of medicine and she has a high level of experience of how the healthcare system works.
Expert owned and operated a start up consultancy to assist clients in identifying compatible residency programs, and supported them through extensive interview process. She maintained a 100% acceptance rate, also consulted with foreign medical graduates on various aspects of the American Medical System. She has improved ethics committee internal perception while she was a consultant. Through careful listening, she overcame resistance, resulting in hospital departments feeling more inclined to request consultations from committee. She carefully balanced religion and bioethics by holding numerous consultations with family’s religious leaders for guidance to assist in the decision process to determine best possible outcome. She spent a year leading an Exective team to lay the ground work for an end-of-life technology company. She worked with the CEO, COO, CTO, and CFO to locate the appropriate venders, various venture capitalists, create and manage company's training program, and write CME courses. Expert consulted with the CEO of a non-profit organization to improve content on their website. She lead the team to construct the consent form for a tissue sampling collection for Casteman Disease. Expert worked directly with the CEO of a non-profit international magazine to develop the healthcare section with an emphasis on bioethics. She also writes articles for the magazine with a bioethics slant.
