He began his career at the age of 17 as a production line employee in a hide processing operation and over the past 43 years has progressed through all levels and aspects of plant operations, primarily in the beef processing business. Expert recently retired as VP, Group Operations Lead for Cargill's Protein Group, with responsibility for 37 plant locations consisting of primary beef, turkey and chicken processing, case ready, eggs, cooked, pet food and ground beef production. Having had the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up and having spent many years of his career in a plant environment, Expert's passion is on the plant floor engaging with, teaching, mentoring and challenging the teams to be the best they can be and to identify and seize the opportunities that exist to take their area of the business to the highest level of performance possible.
