AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR. Expert has specialized experience in managing the development and distribution of PC-based serial tools and automotive diagnostic software. He produced a 10 year strategic plan to provide the next generation of service tools for future vehicle electrical systems. He developed the process to distribute validated diagnostic software using ISO 9000 principles. He implemented extensive usage of CD-ROM technology for mass information storage at dealer and aftermarket service locations. He also implemented a system to reprogram vehicle electric control modules for an OEM.

AUTOMOTIVE MAINTENANCE. Expert developed automotive maintenance schedules for a major OEM with focus on engine emission systems. He used maintenance requirements to limit vehicle selection in EPA compliance testing activities. Expert has knowledge of maintenance requirements for drivetrain, brake systems, and diesel and methanol systems.

AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY. Expert prepared a detailed analysis of auto industry vehicle service trends and tools required to deal with the rapidly advancing electronic vehicle technology which required analysis of future vehicle electrical systems, service/maintenance strategies, information distribution processes, electronic service tools, and technician training. He issued SAE recommended practice J2186 E/E Data Link Security. He continues to participate in a leadership role for the SAE Vehicle E/E Systems Diagnostic Committee, a major group of industry members establishing standards to deal with the ever changing vehicle electronic systems.

VEHICLE AIR POLLUTION TEST PROCEDURES. Expert supervised a team of engineers responsible for vehicle compliance to governmental regulations for a major OEM. He possesses a complete background in test procedures and test equipment anomalies. Expert is familiar with current changes underway in evaporative emission and inspection maintenance compliance testing as well as pending changes in fuel composition. A particular strength of Expert's is in the melding of compliance regulations, vehicle service, vehicle test equipment, and future vehicle system knowledge to provide a situation analysis for any automotive supplier.

AUTOMOTIVE EMISSION CONTROL PROCESS. Expert developed and certified vehicle emission systems for a major auto manufacturer. He has experience in analysis of exhaust and evaporative emissions tests and revising system calibrations to meet regulatory standards and customer expectations. He possesses a working knowledge of catalytic converters/exhaust systems, fuel systems, and durability/performance testing to ensure customer satisfaction. He is skilled in root cause analysis for vehicle problems and implementation of continuous improvement to designing and manufacturing processes. He can also provide situation analysis for changes in government regulations.
