Expert has applied his background in physical-inorganic chemistry to the development of new and improved titanium dioxide pigment products and processes. As the holder of nine patents and author of several papers on pigment technology, expert has contributed to the fundamental understanding of how TiO2 pigments function. He is experienced with all aspects of pigment R&D, from bench-scale through full commercial production. He is an expert in the efficient use of statistically-designed experiments and has developed a number of unique tests to help guide the development of pigment products.

Expert has extensive experience in the technology of producing high-quality, commercial pigments for paint, plastics, and paper. In addition to a thorough understanding of how pigment surface chemistry affects the optical and physical properties of the end-use media, he has in-depth experience with pigment production methods. Although the bulk of his experience has been with titanium dioxide pigment, he has also worked with zinc oxide and other functional fine particle materials and is interested in applying this technology to all inorganic pigments, fillers, and extenders. As a consultant, he could procure proven, commercial pigment finishing technology for license.

Expert is available to consult on all aspects of pigment product and process development. His career emphasis has been on titanium dioxide pigment products and processes. Expert is familiar with both the chloride and sulfates processes for producing TiO2.

Expert has 27 years of professional experience and most recently has given a strong background in chemical research & development and patent management. He has broad-based experience in conducting and managing pigment product process research and development and strategic patenting. Responsible for 9 patents, he has written 7 technical articles and has extensive knowledge of all aspects of pigment production technology. He is experienced at making technical presentations to customers in an easy-to- understand manner. He has also led cross- functional teams in adopting uniform production methods and product specifications and played a key role in establishing successful technical alliances with customers.

Expert has developed in-house seminars on trade secrets and pigment technology. Expert has worked with the assessment and improvement of pigment production technology. He has consulted with producers of white and colored pigments to identify process changes that yield improved products. Expert has helped pigment testing laboratories assess their test methods and make them more relevant and reliable. Expert has consulted with a food manufacturer to help them understand the properties of titanium dioxide they use in food, and the expected future for such usage.
