Expert Details
Genomics, Proteomics, Structural and Molecular Virology, Protein Biochemistry.
ID: 722882
Minnesota, USA
He has conducted research on structural and molecular virology. He has also conducted research on structural analysis of the tissue factor protein and studied the kinetics of the factor VIIa enzymatic activity. In his earliest work, Expert conducted research in the area of Protein Biochemistry and taught classes in Biochemistry and Microbiology.
A group working on enhancing growth of medaka fish, wanted to evaluate efficient and cost-effective methods of determining transgene expression in their growth hormone-enhanced medaka. Based on evaluation of their project requirements Expert identified quantitative RT-PCR (using SYBR-green dye) as a method of choice. He also explained in detail the technical aspects and advantages of using this assay to most accurately answer the question.A researcher wanted to ascertain the best method to study the differential expression of proteins in host cells, in response to viral infection. He suggested using DIGE (Differential In Gel Electrophoresis) as one of the more reliable methods of comparing expression level of proteins between two samples on a 2D gel platform.
