After a fire had been ruled as accidental by the local fire department, he conducted an independant investigation locating the presence of gasoline in the area of origin. The subsequent investigation saved the client over $100,000.After conducting a systematic and detailed neighborhood canvas, he obtained critical information that identified the insured as being present at the loss location and ultimately being responsible for starting the fire.During the examaintion of an industrial accident scene, he located pieces of evidence that indicated safety features had been defeated by the injured party eliminating exposure to the client.A client had requested the expert to examine a dishwasher that caused over $20,000 in damage to a residential structure for a product failure analysis and potential subrogation against the manufacturer. Upon conduting interviews with the insured and examining the dishwasher, it was determined the the device had been damaged while being transported to the residence. Additionally, the dishwasher had actually been taken from another residence by the insured's family. This saved the client several thousands dollars in expenses associated with a potential subrogation claim.While conducting a investigation of a chimney fire, the expert identified that the fireplace installed two years prior had not been installed per NFPA standards. This $250,000 loss was quickly settled with the installer's carrier after their expert conducted his scene examination.
