Expert is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and specialises in Hotel work - appraisals, feasibility studies, valuations, lease renewals, due diligence work, sales & purchasing, lease renewals, operator selection, managment contract negotiations, and almost anything to do with the property aspects of a hotel. He is the author of the only book that covers all these aspects. Expert is also the RICS approved Hotel Valuation expert, having authored the section on hotel valuation on ISURV, the RICS's online guide.

Expert is a regular speaker at Hotel conferences, generally on Valuation on Agency issues. He founded a Hotel consultancy business in 2005, after leaving CB Richard Ellis Hotels, where he had been head of Valuations and Head of International Agency.

Expert has been involved in some of the largest hotel property transactions and was a key player in structuring hotel operational leases so that they would be acceptible to a broad range of hotel investors.
