Expert is an Associate Professor of Surgery, an Attending Surgeon in Long Island, and and board-certified in General Surgery. Expert is a fellowship trained minimally invasive surgeon, with experience in general minimally invasive, single-incision laparoscopic and robotic surgery as well as expertise in laparoscopic general, gastrointestinal and oncologic surgery. Expert has research interest in surgical disorders of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, endoscopy, solid organ surgery, and hernia repairs. The results of his research were presented at many national and international surgical meetings. He also has knowledge of computers, video editing, and creation of surgical movies, and has served on Committees for the Integration of Information Technology and Medicine. Expert is a member of the Society of American Gastro-Enterologic Surgeons, Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.

He assisted with development of new surgical equipment. He mentored surgeons in adaptions of innovative surgical techniques.
