Sedimentary Geology, Environmental Geosciences, Petrophysics, Low Temperature Geochemistry
ID: 729004
New York, USA
Expert has performed geologic and petrophysical studies in New York State to investigate the possibilities in using of the Cambro-Ordovician Strata in central and western New York as brine disposal sites for natural gas operations. Also, Expert conducted international researches on the petrophysical properties including porosity, permeability, recovery effeciency, and fluid saturations of oil and gas bearing strata worldwide.
Expert has participated in an intensive research on concentration of heavy metals and their distribution in the New York Bight. Expert has performed a detailed research on abandoned mines and their impact on the environments in the New York State Area. Also, Expert has created the idea and participated in writing a proposal to the United States Department of State for a grant to support an international environmental research between two institutes in the United States and China . The purpose of this study is to link individuals (students and teachers) through Knowledge and Culture (LINC). This proposal was accepted and the on-going exchange program is between Bard High School Early College, United States and two top high schools in China affiliated with the Fudan University. Through this exchange program and beside the cultural part, the American and Chinese students investigate, compare, and contrast the heavy metals’ concentration in soils and waters of the Hudson River (U.S.A.) and Huangpu River (China) to better understand the roles of natural processes and human impact on the river system.
From 1995 to 1998, Expert at Rensselaer Center of Applied Geology, Troy, New York had evolved in many consulting projects for public and government sectors to investigate about the subsurface geology of selected areas in central and western New York State and to find out the impacts of toxic materials and waste disposal in deep geologic information.
