During his career, Expert has delivered well over 5000 babies and encountered and managed virtually every type of obstetric complication. He has had a very active surgical practice and is well versed in minimally invasive procedures involving laparoscopic and hysteroscopic techniques. While he graduated his residency prior to the development of urogynecologic fellowships, he has had a special interest and large amount of experience in incontinence and prolapse procedures.
Expert has served as Medical Director of Women’s Health Connecticut, a large OBGYN practice encompassing 140+ physicians spanning the entire state of Connecticut. In that capacity, he was instrumental in developing practice guidelines for many obstetric and gynecologic conditions. He also was involved in quality improvement efforts and insurance contract negotiations.
Expert has lectured on numerous topics through his career at both the student and attending levels. He served as assistant Residency Director of the Danbury Hospital OBGYN Residency program. In that capacity he provided weekly lectures to the resident’s one wide array of OBGYN topics. He served as the OBGYN instructor for the Alderson and Broaddus College Physician Assistant training program. He is currently a clinical instructor for the Commonwealth Medical College of Pennsylvania. He has also lectured for several pharmaceutical companies on various urogynecologic topics.
Expert has served on numerous hospital committees including Peer Review, Ethics, and Medical Executive committees. He is currently the Vice-President of the medical staff of Schuylkill medical Center South Jackson. He has also performed numerous medical malpractice reviews and has testified as a medical expert on numerous occasions.
Expert was invited to evaluate and critique a new pelvic support mesh kit that was being developed by Gynecare before clinical trials were undertaken.Expert partook in aftermarket trials of Boston Scientific's Genesys Hydrothermablation Device for endometrial ablations.Expert has served a reviewer of medical malpractice cases for Medical Advisers, a consulting firm used by numerous attorneys.
