Expert is an attorney with more than three decades of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, holding a Juris Doctor, awarded Cum Laude, and a Bachelor of Arts, also awarded Cum Laude. Expert built an extensive career serving as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for a series of public and private insurance and reinsurance organizations operating in the United States, Bermuda, and the European Union, including public re/insurers, private-equity-controlled re/insurers, a reinsurance intermediary, and an entity operating as a swap dealer and investment adviser. Expert's roles have included service on an executive management board, corporate secretary responsibilities, interim general counsel and senior legal advisor positions, and legal compliance consulting, spanning specialty lines including marine insurance, workers' compensation, and life insurance run-off. Expert began a legal and insurance career as a commercial casualty underwriter before advancing into corporate legal leadership positions.

Since 2010, Expert has served as a certified arbitrator and expert, credentialed through ARIAS, FINRA, and the American Arbitration Association, in addition to holding designations as a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management, and bar admissions in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Extensive General Counsel/Chief Legal Officer experience across public and private insurance and reinsurance companies operating in the U.S., Bermuda, and EU markets, spanning public re/insurers, private-equity-controlled entities, reinsurance intermediaries, and swap dealer/investment adviser platforms. Experience includes service on an executive management board and as corporate secretary at multiple organizations, as well as compliance consulting and claims management roles. Early career experience as a commercial casualty underwriter.
