Request Expert

Expert is a flooring industry professional with more than 30 years of hands-on experience across all phases of floor covering installation, maintenance, and corrective services for both residential and commercial applications. Expert works as a consultant, Certified Flooring Inspector, and expert witness, with particular expertise in floor failure analysis and coefficient of friction (COF) testing, and maintains a practice of regular attendance at industry seminars to stay current on new products and procedures.

Expert has held extensive leadership roles within national flooring industry standards organizations. Expert served as a member of the 2004–2006 revision committee for the TCA Handbook and ANSI A108 standards, and has held numerous positions within the National Wood Flooring Association Certified Professional (NWFA CP) program, including past Chairman of the Inspector Certification Committee, past Chairman of the Inspector Manual Committee, past member of the School Committee and Sales Advisor Committee, and a sitting member of the Hearing Committee. Expert also previously served on the NWFA CP Board of Directors, including as past Vice Chairman of the Board, and has worked as an instructor for the NWFA CP Wood Flooring Inspector and Commercial Wood Flooring Inspector courses.

Expert currently serves on multiple committees of the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), including the WLFI, RFI, and SCFI committees, and chairs the IICRC SCFI committee. Expert additionally chairs the ANSI/IICRC S230 committee (Standard for the Inspection of Subfloor/Substrates), serves as Vice Chairman of the ANSI/IICRC S220 committee (Standard for the Inspection of Hard Surface Floorcoverings), and is a member of the ANSI/IICRC S800 committee (Standard for the Inspection of Carpet Floorcoverings). Through this combination of long-tenured field experience and sustained leadership in the development of national inspection standards, Expert brings deep technical authority to floor covering consulting, inspection, and expert witness engagements.
