As a Translational Medicine Scientist in her current role, Expert is a biomarker lead, responsible for development and execution of biomarker strategy for clinical development. Additional expertise includes developing and implementing biomarker assays in preclinical models and clinical trials, evaluating new technologies as potential novel biomarker assay platforms, preclinical work for MoA studies, identifying and refining patient population, assembly of preclinical data packages and writing IND reports in support of IND submission, overseeing academic collaborations and CROs, and is an integral partner in multidisciplinary team of discovery, DMPK and in vivo pharmacology scientists.
SELECTED SKILLS & TECHNIQUES:
• Mammalian primary, hTERT modified and cancer (suspension, adherent, 2D and 3D) cells and mESC culture experience
• Engineering of mammalian cell lines using siRNA, shRNA and CRISPR-Cas9 methods
• DNA& RNA manipulation (cloning, PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, Gibson assembly, site directed mutagenesis, etc.)
• Polysome profiling and Ribo-seq, RNA-seq, Polysome-seq/TrIP-seq, ChIP, eCLIP
• Protein expression and isolation, protein-protein interactions (pull downs, immunoprecipitation, LC/MS, single cell mass cytometry), Flow cytometry & FACS
• Immunofluorescence, wide-field, confocal and super-resolution microscopes, high content and automated microscopy experience, image acquisition and analysis, IHC and proximity ligation assay
• Cell-based assays (viability, proliferation and death assays, fluorescence and luminescence-based assays)
• Performed statistical analysis on data sets using Excel, Fiji and Prism GraphPad, FlowJo
• Experience in managing multiple projects that involve close interactions with internal and external collaborators, strong interpersonal and communication skills, meticulous record keeping skills
• Exceptional data organizational and analytical skills, attention to details
• Experience in creating SOP, training team members on current safety regulatory guidelines and standard practices, mentoring students and research assistants
