Expert ranked no. 1 in class of 60 students when finished high school in 1972. Admitted to The Sharif University of Technology (The best university in Iran and well known in USA even on those days) in 1972, in the field of Metallurgical Engineering, to obtained B.Sc. with rank no.1 in 1976. Obtained the scholarship to do Ph.D. to become a faculty member of the Isfahan University of Technology (IUT). After a 4 months industrial training in Yorkshire Imperial Metals, Leeds, UK, entered the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, where obtained Ph.D. in 1980, with a GPA of 3.5 out of 4. Ph.D. was in Metallurgical Engineering Department, Fontana Corrosion Center, which was the top in Corrosion in the USA and the world. Returned to IUT, where was a faculty member for 30 years. Did two sabbaticals in Australia and UK during these years. Selected as National distinguished Professor and also Iranian Metallurgical Engineers Society Distinguished Professor. Considered by friends and former students as the Iranian Mr. Corrosion.
In 2012, migrated to the US and became a citizen. Was a visiting Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA for 2 years, and a Faculty associate at the Employer for 8 years, and got the title of the Fellow of the Teaching Academy.
Known in the area of Corrosion, Electrochemistry, structure/property relationship and phase transformation in Metals and Alloys. This creates a unique combination to do Failure Analysis..
