Expert is one of only 17 meteorologists in the world to have earned both the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal as well as the highly coveted Certified Consulting Meteorologist seal from the American Meteorological Society.
In a highly publicized career shift, Expert resigned from his TV job in 2017 and moved to Milan, Italy, where he formed partnerships in climate change risk assessment and mitigation. He is the co-founder of the organization Climate (undisclosed). He repatriated to the United States due to the pandemic in 2019, and presently fills-in on air at News 12 Networks and New York 1 News. He is the author of multiple publications, and conference presentations have been delivered in both his native tongue and Italian. Recently, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the International Association of Broadcast Meteorologists.

| Cases in which Expert has been involved are wide ranging. They include: slip and fall accidents due to snow and ice accumulation, property damage due to high winds, tornadoes, hail and, personal injury due to lightning, long term wind studies, and Wet Bulb Globe Temperature data research. For all these cases, Expert acquired, analyzed and interpreted the weather data, reconstructed the weather at the time and location of the accident or incident and provided expert opinion of the impact of the weather factor on the event. He has also presented at professional meteorological conferences and public speaking engagements where I included new research on how climate change has impacted severe weather events.
