ID: 732647
Texas, USA
Recently he received the Samuel Rosen Award from American Oil Chemists' Society for industrial research and contributions to the field of surfactant chemistry.
He was subject matter expert (SME) in Shell for Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery polymer and surfactant chemistry for seven years. He led a team to deploy polymer flooding in Shell oil reservoirs. He has extensive expertise in the chemistry and properties of water-soluble polymers and the technologies for treatment of polymer produced fluids and for dissolution of polymer in injection brines.
Expert studied nonequilibrium interfacial behavior in oil-water-surfactant systems using videomicroscopy and diffusion path analysis for his PhD dissertation at Rice University in Houston, TX, USA. He has studied the fundamentals of detergent processes including the correlation of detergency to the phase inversion temperature of non-ionic surfactant-water-oily soil systems. Research work has included the measurement of oil-water and air-water interfacial tensions and correlation of oil-water interfacial tension to cleaning fabric and hard surfaces and to enhanced oil recovery processes using surfactants.
