ELECTRONIC MAIL. In projects at the college level and at the pre-college level, Expert has regularly used electronic mail for project organizational and communications purposes. He has also conducted seminars and workshops to help others utilize this technology.
INFORMATION SCIENCE. Expert has been engaged in projects at educational institutions, in industry, and with health providers to evaluate the strategic importance of information processing, organization, and management for effective performance.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. Expert has helped plan and develop systems for utilization of technology in education, training, and job performance. He has also conducted seminars and workshops on newly emerging information technologies and the human and organizational factors that are critical for their effective implementation.
TELECONFERENCING. Expert has planned, organized, and implemented 13 ninety-minute teleconferences which were transmitted to a national audience via satellite with telephone feedback. These dealt with human and organizational issues of incorporating new information technologies in schools. The methods also apply to hospitals, businesses, and government organizations.
TECHNOLOGY-BASED TRAINING. Expert completed a training development program in 1992 for a Fortune 100 high technology company. Interviews, questionnaires, and job analyses materials were developed to help workers engage in quantitative quality performance studies. Computer software, print materials, and guides for instruction were prepared.
MULTI-MEDIA SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT. Expert is currently developing a multi-media version of a text and visual material archive. He has also created full-text retrieval systems for collections of books. He has reviewed projects and proposals for multi-media systems. He is currently writing an analysis of multimedia capabilities in mathematics and science education for a national business policy organization.
