Dry Bulk Powder Handling
ID: 724220
California, USA
Expert has been the primary designer of numerous (over 20) coal storage and feeding systems. These systems have utilized various levels of coal from Lignite to sub-bituminous to bituminous to anthracite.
The form has been from run-of-the-mine to primary crush to pulverized to fine dust. The facilities have been from laboratory to power plant bunkers.
He has the benefit of personally testing the bulk solids material flow properties at various conditions and applying this data using the Jenike-Johanson hoppers design methodology.
He helped to successfully resolve a major flow issue in a brick manufacturer. The solution included a bunker/hopper/feeder transition retrofit. He resolved a process variablilty issue at a roofing manufacturer by eliminating filler segregation in the storage and feeding system. He correctly identified the source of variation in a Petcoke feeding system. The solution involved finding optimum setting for a powder flow assist system.
